Naramora, Our Family’s Backyard Story

A Dream Rooted in Family

Every project starts with a seed. For us, that seed was a simple dream: to turn our small yard in Jepara, Indonesia, into a living space that truly nurtures. A place for fresh food, for peaceful moments, and for gathering with the people we love.

This project is named NaraMora, after our daughter, Nara. It’s our constant reminder to build a life with intention, rooted in family. We’re not expert builders or professional gardeners—we’re just a family on a journey to create a home that’s a little more alive.

Follow Our Journey, One Project at a Time

This is the long-term dream for our 96-square-meter backyard. Follow along as we bring each piece of this vision to life.

The Raised Bed Gardens

Our journey begins with getting our hands in the soil. We’re building and planting our own raised beds to grow fresh, organic vegetables and herbs right here at home. See the Garden Posts

Productive Ponds

We envision two water systems working in harmony: a productive aquaponics pond for raising fish and feeding plants, and a tranquil Koi pond to be the centerpiece for family leisure. Explore the Pond Projects →

The Outdoor Kitchen

No family space is complete without food. We’ll be building an outdoor kitchen centered around a smoker and grill—the hearth of our backyard where harvests become memories. View the Kitchen Builds →

The Deck & Dining Area

Inspired by our culture of gathering, we’ll build a simple wooden deck and dining set with our own hands, creating the perfect space for sharing stories and meals. Discover Our Furniture Projects →
